Sir Don McCullin CBE has been a photojournalist, photographing conflict for over 50 years. Recognised for his war photography and images of urban strife. His career, which began in 1959, has specialised in examining the underside of society, and his photographs have depicted the unemployed, downtrodden and impoverished. In recent years he has spoken about the impact of war not only on the people and places he has photographed, but also on himself.
