Create a contact sheet in Adobe Lightroom

A contact sheet is a grid of images that can be printed or exported as an image file from Lightroom. Contact sheets are used to select images, to show clients, to demonstrate your process. They are useful to show an overall overview of a project.

the name ‘contact sheet’ comes from darkroom practice where negatives were put in ‘contact’ with a piece of photographic paper, exposed to the light and developed as the initial step in the editing process.

To create a contact sheet in Adobe Lightroom use the Print Module (Second from the right in the top menu bar).

Use the Page Grid sliders to select the number of rows and columns that you want. The selected images will populate the grid.

To export as a file for upload select Print to: Jpeg File in the Print Job panel on the left. Click Print to File at the bottom right to save the file.
